West Indian Whistling Ducks, Whistlers – Dendrocygna arborea, at Bel Air pond, South Sound, Grand Cayman. Ann Stafford, Jan.21, 2013. There were about 200 ducks, on the road, on the fence, in the fenced area by the pond and in the adjacent garden. It is the only duck to breed in the Cayman Islands and is a protected species listed as Endangered.
