Twelve Days of Cayman Christmas  – Butterflies

On the first day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
A Malachite in a grape tree.

On the second day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the third day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Five Gold Rims
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,

Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Seven Soldiers courting

Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Eight Queens a-laying,
Seven Soldiers courting
Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Nine Monarchs gliding,
Eight Queens a-laying,
Seven Soldiers courting
Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the tenth day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Ten Cayman Brown Leafs,

Nine Monarchs gliding,
Eight Queens a-laying,
Seven Soldiers courting
Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the eleventh day of Christmas,
Cayman Islands showed to me
Eleven Pygmy Blues,
Ten Cayman Brown Leafs,

Nine Monarchs gliding,
Eight Queens a-laying,
Seven Soldiers courting
Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas,

Cayman Islands showed to me
Twelve Swallowtails fluttering,
Eleven Pygmy Blues,
Ten Cayman Brown Leafs,

Nine Monarchs gliding,
Eight Queens a-laying,
Seven Soldiers courting
Six Lucas’s Blues,
Five Gold Rims,
Four Gulf Fritillaries,
Three Cayman Julias,
Two Cuban Reds,
And a Malachite in a grape tree!
